Cinco de Mayo celebrations were held in the town square in Burnsville on Saturday, dos de Mayo! Cinco de Mayo seems to be more celebrated here in the United States than in Mexico. We don't remember it having much significance when we lived in Guadalajara. Not wanting to miss out on anything Mexican, especially a fiesta, we went to the square and enjoyed the colorful festivities! There was music, delicious Mexican food (authentic tamales!) and even a couple of pinatas for the children to hit! Dale, dale, dale!
