Here are some random pictures of the area. It rained almost continuously during our first few days, which seemed to just add to the beauty of this place. Can you see why it's called Green Mountain?
The morning after Aneka got back from California we started the long car ride to North Carolina. Jim prepared himself with coffee to help keep his eyes on the road and we were off! Our car was jam-packed with stuff, including two suitcases on top of the car, the trunk completely full and a cat in the back seat squished between Aneka and Ri. The trip was basically non-stop driving with a couple of rest stops in between and a mishap with a cat who suddenly decided she didn't want to be out of her carrier. She ended up scratching our brand new car. We drove for 11 hours until we reached a different cabin, about two hours away from Burnsville. Ri and Aneka spent a couple days there with cousins while Jim and Preeti took the cat to our new home where the Boyer's showed them around and helped them settle in. Ri and Aneka joined them soon after. Now everyone has finally arrived at the cabin slightly off of Upper Pig Pen Lane. We've been here for exactly one week today and it looks like everyone is just starting to settle in.
