The Happer Micro-School is now official! We're registered (more on that later) and have begun our classes! Most days this past week or so of our soft start has consisted of doing reading and writing lessons on the beautiful wrap around porch at the cabin, sitting in one of the 4 rocking chairs, getting distracted by fighting hummingbirds and stalking would-be-hunter cats, or by starting the day doing math on the comfortable couches, in PJs. Afternoons are usually kept for projects- grape guns (soon to be posted on Rigel's page), gardening beds, cardboard challenges and the like or other activities like hiking, exploring another bendy road leading to nowhere-in-the-mountains, group activities (Lego League, Community garden, Library visits). We like this school!
